Vehicle chassis

A vehicle chassis is the main structural framework of a vehicle, such as a car, truck, or bus. It is sometimes referred to as the “backbone” of the vehicle, as it provides the basic support and structure for the other components and systems that make up the vehicle.

The chassis typically consists of a series of interconnected metal beams or plates, which are designed to distribute the weight of the vehicle evenly and provide rigidity and stability. The chassis also serves as the attachment point for the engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and other key components.

The design and construction of a vehicle chassis can vary widely depending on the type of vehicle and the intended use. For example, a sports car may have a lightweight and aerodynamic chassis designed for high performance, while a heavy-duty truck may have a robust and durable chassis built to handle heavy loads and rough terrain.
